Archers are the basic ranged unit of the Heroes. Higher level Archers have a wide range of abilities, all of which serve to hamper enemy movement while enhancing their own ability to inflict damage from afar. Archers are very flimsy and are defeated quickly.

- Archers at Level 6 or higher become significantly more difficult to overtake, since they obtain Speed. Converted Archers become very strong researchers and manufacturers when they reach this level.
- The icons for the Thief and Archer are the wrong-way-round, considering the archer's red garb, and they are hard to differentiate in any case. In KeeperFX Unofficial this is fixed by swapping back and giving the Archer icon a feathered cap.
