The Armoury was a room that was cut from Dungeon Keeper. It boosted a creature's Armour stat after remaining here for a while.[1]
Dene Carter wrote that he didn't know how the boosted stat would be conveyed to players. It is possible that the shield icons seen in a 1996 trailer were in some way related to this.
This room was presumably cut in favour of the Protect Monster/Armour spells.
The function of this room bears no resemblance to the real-life meaning of the word 'armoury', so the room's name is likely a paronomasia.
