Caverns is the 7th level in Dungeon Keeper 2, located in Emberglow. This is level is the players introduction to Lava and Salamanders whom are immune to Lava. This level begins with immediate destruction of the rival keeper's Dungeon Heart which leaves the player many rooms to claim, although the player has be wary as the Giants that had slain the rival keeper still remain a threat and after a couple of one of them will approach your dungeon heart to defend this 4 Goblins will automatically arrive through the already claimed portal even if the player has not built a Lair and/or a Hatchery. The remaining Giants will not attack your Dungeon Heart unless they are led there. The Dungeon Special for Duckshoot can be found in this level.
Main Objective Edit
- Dispose of the fiery tempered Lord Sigmund and his retinue of Giants
Sub Objectives Edit
- Traverse the Giants' caverns
- Be Wary of the molten lava the course through this land
At the beginning of the level you should hold off on trying to build anything and focus on claiming the remains of the fallen dungeon, use the few Goblins you get to distract the Giants so your Imps can claim the Lair and the Hatchery so that more Creatures can come to your dungeon to fight off the Giants. While you are doing this build a Prison so you can torture and then convert the Giants when you have defeated them, as their immunity to lava and raw strength make them excellent for this level. Once you are settled I recommend that you use your Possession Spell and possess a high leveled Giant. While Possessed, use grouping (press 7) to recruit a group of many Salamanders and Giants to explore and to traverse through the level.
