Dante's Mound traps in Dungeon Keeper were volcanoes that launched lava-filled rocks over walls that exploded on impact and temporarily left a pool of lava on the ground. They were highly effective against groups of minions.

Notes[]

  • Lobbed lava-filled rocks over obstacles at range, dealing physical damage.
  • Temporarily left lava behind on impact, dealing fire damage.
  • Effective against grouped ground targets.
  • Its best use was for pulling Trolls towards their location, very good at dragging them past other traps and rooms that could damage them.
  • Could be effective at protecting resource rooms.
  • Lava pool damage was effective against Trolls, though their initial hit did not do fire damage.
  • Had long upgrade times, though this was offset by its max level: 15.
  • Provided one of the highest DCR per upgrade of any trap.
  • Its first strike would damage Magmaw, though the lava pool damage would heal him, so it damaged then healed him...
