Dungeon Keeper Wiki

The Druid is a custom unit unique to Dungeon Keeper FX, first introduced in KeeperFX 0.5.0 alpha build 3080[1] and stable release 0.5.0[2] as a swappable creature along with the Time Mage, then later in build 3313[3][4] as a standard creature.

The Druid originally started as a simple recolour of the Warlock by Trotim, with a green robe in contrast to the Warlock’s purple, with a head of shaggy hair and a thick, full beard later added by kix, in contrast to the Warlock’s bald head and pointed goatee. Later on, the Druid was also given a unique custom lair, also made by Trotim.

Despite popular culture's connotation of a druid being a common job/class for a hero in fantasy games, the Druid is considered an evil creature. The Druid is just as good at researching as a Warlock, but costs slightly more to train and has a higher wage, and boasts slightly higher health, strength, defence and dodging ability, but lower accuracy and much lower luck.

In contrast to the Warlock's fire-based arsenal, the Druid specialises in cold, with access to Freeze and Hailstorm. Unlike many other spellcasters, the Druid does not have access to Heal and instead can restore health with Drain to last a little longer, but as the Druid is similarly frail, this does not help much in a large fight. At higher levels, Druids also gain access to Freeze and Word of Power, helping them keep away enemies and last a little longer.
