The Fireburst Trap (also known as the Fireblast Trap[1]) is available only in Dungeon Keeper 2. It is one of the most expensive and powerful traps available; it belches an immense blast of magical fire, covering an extensive radius[clarification needed], seriously damaging any creature caught in it.
Dungeon Keeper 2[]
This is the final trap you unlock in the campaign. It is considerably strong and fairly short range.
Tips[]
- Start out concealed.
- Best used as a nasty surprise around a corner. As one of many, responsible for a lot of damage.
- May be a great choice to place in front of a Barricade.
- Standing in water does not decrease the damage done by it.
Bugs[]
- Due to what is presumably a programming oversight, these dealing a different sort of damage than what would be expected, do damage to Salamanders and Giants. A remaster may aim to fix this inconsistency.
- The health flower may not always appear when hovering over them with the Hand of Evil.
Trivia[]
- The only stationary damage dealing close-contact-sensing and affecting trap that is tall.
- Showcased front and center used by Keeper Nemesis on one of the briefing screenshots of the campaign level 18 - Brotherhood - Cherry Blossom.
Dungeon Keeper Mobile[]

Fireburst Trap
The Fireburst Trap was available once your Workshop reached level 2, and dealt moderate fire damage to nearby enemies. Trolls were immune, despite their susceptibility to fire damage. Upgrading the Fireburst Trap increased the damage dealt.
It also had a damage-over-time (DOT) effect, which continued to deal damage for some time afterwards.
