The Fireburst Trap (also known as the Fireblast Trap[1]) is available only in Dungeon Keeper 2. It is one of the most expensive and powerful traps available; it belches an immense blast of magical fire, covering an extensive radius[clarification needed], seriously damaging any creature caught in it.

Fireburst Trap

Overview[]

Some of you might have been wondering about which Trap we'd choose to feature next... and had you made a few guesses, I might've told you that you were getting warmer. And warmer. No, really... you're actually burning up... because today's Spotlight is on none other than the Fireburst Trap!

Able to be built once you've leveled your Workshop to Level 2, the Fireburst Trap is a trap that will deal moderate fire damage to those enemies standing/walking over it. (MODERATE damage to everyone except... you guessed it, boys and girls: TROLLS, who are especially susceptible to fire damage!) Upgrading the Fireburst Trap will increase the amount of damage that it deals.

In addition to the damage dealt while standing/walking over it, the Fireburst Trap also causes a lingering damage-over-time (DOT) effect that will continue to deal damage for a period of time after the initial bout of damage. Yes, Keepers, it's the gift that keeps on giving, and there are no creams for it, nor is it treatable with Penicillin.

Consider building a few of these in your Dungeon, Keepers... and have your enemies BURNING with envy!
