The Kitchen was a room that was cut from Dungeon Keeper. It was in the game as of early 1996. Its function was analogous to the Hatchery in that it provided food to creatures; however, it did this by converting corpses to food rather than by growing food.[1][2]
In the story booklet The Dreadful Demise of Derek the Dauntless, Derek's corpse is taken to the dungeon's Kitchen after he is killed, presumably to be made into food like in the game.
