The player starts the level with a tunnel already dug out to the only creature portal, and a tunnel leading to a huge lava lake filled with Archer outposts on all sides.
A good way to bypass this is making a tunnel 1 block away from the lava ocean, carefully digging out your dungeon already prepared with large rooms and fortifying all walls so Tunnellers can't breach in. After that, you can take your time to level your creatures and eventually capture the gem seams.
To the sides of the map there's big patches of neutral ground filled with Barbarians and Archers. On the left side there are 3 Boulder Traps next to the Gem Seam. Below each patch of land there are Iron Doors guarding Dungeon Specials and bands of heroes waiting to ambush an unprepared Keeper.
Neutral Bridges span the lava ocean and lead to a purple potion that allows the player to build Bridges of his own. The player can drop Imps on the Archer outposts and quickly pick them up to explore the level as much as possible and actually capture the potion by just dropping an Imp on it.
The top of the map is a mostly abandoned and old hero fortress with Archer outposts, secret lava lakes with Horned Reapers and bands of heroes waiting to cave in. The hero Dungeon Heart sits off the middle of the fortress protected by numerous doors and enemies.
