"A Good Witch who is a competent magical fighter but, sadly for her, has a near phobic aversion to Vampires. Can’t say that I blame her, but it certainly doesn’t help when the fists are flying."
Dungeon Keeper Manual

The Priestess, also known as the Witch, is a powerful elemental magic user.

The Priestess does not operate well with other creatures in battle due to her overuse of the Wind spell. The combat AI fires this spell automatically, ignoring its cooldown, when the user is harmed by Poison Gas. She can be harmed by her very own Poison Cloud spell, so whenever her spell detonates near her, it instantly triggers a blast of Wind. While this is effective at keeping her out of reach from most creatures, it throws battles into chaos. Bile Demons are, in addition to their strong mêlée attack, immune to both Wind and Poison Gas, making them the perfect counter to this class of hero.

In the hands of a player, though, a captured Priestess can be an extraordinary lone operator. She can solo any mêlée creature that is too slow to close in with her before her Poison Cloud / Wind combination recharges, except for the Bile Demon. She can handle huge groups of ranged fighters by reflecting their projectiles and downing them one-by-one with Lightning, which enables her to best even the Wizard in combat.

This hero gains the ability to fly at level 2, meaning that like the naturally-flying Fairy, she can determine a path over lava to perform tasks or attack. Bear this in mind for both friendly and hostile Priestesses.
