The Protect Monster (also known as Protect Creature or just Protect) spell reduces the damage creatures take in battle, making them stronger and more durable.

The spell can be cast directly on a creature or via the Battle Window, and increases the creature’s armour by 25%. While active, it also almost completely protects them from the effect of the Lightning Strike spell. Various battle-minded creatures can learn this as a creature spell.
Trivia[]
- The 'Skin of Armour' spell is likely an early version of this spell or the Armour Creature spell.[1] The Dungeon Keeper Goodies Disc contains wave files of Mentor dialogue that were cut from the game; some of these mention it.[2]
