Dungeon Keeper[]

A dungeon's score is a behind-the-scenes, but important mechanic affecting how enemies see it. Namely, it influences whether it is targeted by a party member whose objective is to attack; as there is no way to specify which dungeon to attack, they go for the one with the highest score. In other words, the higher the score, the higher priority a target it is.

Confusingly, there are actually three types of score: score, total score, and player score.

Score - pertains to your creatures. The number of points for each creature is calculated by a formula involving the sum of its maximum Health, Defence, Dexterity, Armour, and Strength for its experience level.

Total score - calculated each turn using a formula that takes into account the number of room types (not rooms) you have and the number of active creatures (up to 160) you have, the number of research and manufacture points you have, the total money you have, the total experience your creatures have gained, and the total area of your dungeon.

Player score - the final score, calculated[clarification needed] when a player wins or loses the level. Winners' scores are doubled, and losers' scores are halved.
