- Not to be confused with Sight.
The Sight of Evil Keeper spell appears both in Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2.
Dungeon Keeper[]
The spell allows you to peer into your own dungeon and beyond.
It allows you to see in enemy dungeons or in places you have not discovered yet. It is useful when spying on enemies, but they can see your red spots from your Sight of Evil. The Sight of Evil can also spot hero bases and other parts in the map.
As long as the visibility circle is in effect, you are able to cast other Keeper Spells such as Cave-In or Lightning Strike within the revealed area, damaging creatures or otherwise disrupting their current activity.[clarification needed]
The Dungeon Keeper Goodies Disc contains wave files of Mentor dialogue that were cut from the game, one of which mentioning a 'Clairvoyance' spell being available.[1] This is presumably this spell, the Sight Creature spell, or an early version of one of these.

Dungeon Keeper 2[]
The Sight of Evil spell works much the same way as in the previous installment. (But there are differences.)
You can cast this spell anywhere on the map for a mana cost to reveal the terrain, rooms, and creatures; gaining strategic information.
On terrain segments revealed only by Sight of Evil and not in your ownership, or not claimed by you, you can only cast the Tremor Spell.
Upon casting Sight of Evil, sparks and lights temporarily appear on and above the tile where you cast it. Also if the A.I. Keeper does so.
Tips[]
- You can never have more than one single spell effect of Sight of Evil active at a time. Your latest cast always rapidly diminishes your last.
- Sacrificing a Dark Elf & casting Sight of Evil in a Temple's pool gets you an Elven Archer. One outside the Portal creature limit!
- You may use this spell to find mission objectives like rival Dungeon Hearts or goodly Lords, resources like Gem Seams, Mana Vault fountains, magical items, defense openings, hostiles, neutral creatures and/or identifying them before contact.
- You might not need this spell to find a Portal near your territory as they tend to have darker fog of war above them giving their position off.
- Finding a Reveal Map magical item totally makes this spell unnecessary, except for the Temple sacrifice.
Trivia[]
- Even though the A.I. Keepers may also cast this spell, they do not act on it. It holds no benefit for them. They effectively waste mana.
- Some mechanics you may not have thought of: If map segments are only made visible by Sight of Evil, not actual scouting, that does not grant you the power there to:
- The spell has a distinct sound effect. Audible also when an A.I. Keeper casts it.
