Skeleton Army is a creature spell in Dungeon Keeper 2 that creates temporary creatures. As its name implies, it conjures a loosely interpreted army of Skeletons to fight for the caster, a Dark Angel.

Description[]

Skeleton Army Skeletons Dungeon Keeper 2 first-person

Skeleton Army is like Raise Dead, but doesn’t require corpses. Three level 1 Skeletons, who will fight for the caster for 30 seconds, are magically conjured. During this time, they appear on the Creature Panel and can even be picked up and dropped like normal Skeletons. After their 30 seconds is up, they automatically die unless they are in a Hero Lair and stay there. If you possess them, they stay alive.

Tips[]

  • These temporary Skeletons can be used as Temple sacrifices to gain Mana, but cannot be used as input-result combinations to gain creatures.
  • Can generate some temporary creatures of yours onto land which is not yours by targeting an enemy there, even past a lava flow or the other side of a Barricade, which you may attempt to possess and use as a disposable scout.
  • Perfect to deal with enemy Fear Traps for your creatures from one angle while you may even approach from another angle if you want, being a multitasker.
  • Might work as a decent short diversion for an enemy Horny, or enemy possessed creature.
  • Should work as a diversion causing trouble around an enemy Guard Post to clear out a specific Guard Room of the guards that would rush to the post, so you may approach from said Guard Room.
  • Adequate for outsourcing dealing with Imps.
  • Functional to draw fire from enemy traps.
  • Can be grouped and ordered to destroy an enemy door.
  • Keep them away from your own Training Rooms, because they may train and thereby spend your money, then disappear.
  • If only one of your creatures remains below level 8 and you cannot train it without company, using these Skeletons may be the solution in a Combat Pit.

Bugs[]

  • Sometimes they just do not form out of the cloud of bones that would spawn them, or immediately dissolve into a pile of bones. Regardless of Prison Skeleton limit - when obviously having much more space. Regardless of having a target, or just casting without one.

Trivia[]

  • If many Dark Angels use this ability at the same time, they indeed have a chance to generate something a kin to a real "army" that may handle a significant portion of a large confrontation.
  • If you try to 'sack' them by throwing them away "back" into a Portal, they just crumble.
