The Stone Quarry in Dungeon Keeper generated stone at a certain rate per hour, which was used to buy certain traps and upgrade certain rooms.
If the Stone Quarry reached storage capacity, it would not generate any more stone until it was collected.
Stone Quarries were not built, but rather, claimed.
Notes[]
- Generated Stone.
- Entry point for invaders.
- Uncollected Stone was more vulnerable to theft.
- Bolstering increased Stone production.
- Upgrading Stone Quarries was required to upgrade certain buildings. This could be avoided with the Room Sale, though this was rare and only occured 3-4 times per year.
- If a gem vein next to a mine had been dug out, it could no longer be sealed shut again. A path must always have ran to it, even if it was unclaimed.
- It was recommended for new players to avoid claiming all four Stone Quarries; leaving one, such as the centre left one, unclaimed helped protect your dungeon.
- With Room Sales, it was possible to reach max level buildings with only three Stone Quarries.

1 Break Even Days is how long, from the time you start the upgrade, until you have the same amount of stone as if you didn't do the upgrade. Simply put, how long until you are making more than you would have by not upgrading.
Note - Max level is 35
