This article is more than a stub, but still needs expansion. You can help by adding to it.
It has been suggested that this article or section be split into Whirlwind.
Reason: The Dungeon Keeper Online spell seems entirely unrelated.

The talk page may have more information.

Wind or Whirlwind is a creature spell available in Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2 that blows away creatures.

General Information (Dungeon Keeper)[]

"Wind creates a force twelve gale in your Dungeon blowing every creature away from you."
— Dungeon Keeper Manual

Contrary to the impression its icon might give, Wind conjures a gale, not a tornado. The gale blows away all creatures in its path. It's useful for a Warlock who finds himself in a tricky situation and needs to get away from the brawling. It is a spell used frequently by the Priestess, which can make fighting them tricky. They use the spell when taking damage from gas. The spell can be used to blow enemy creatures into traps or lava, a lethal combination. Obese Bile Demons are too heavy to be affected by Wind. Wind will also, as you'd expect, blow any poison gas from traps or spells along with the creatures.

Creatures cannot move until the Wind effect stops, even if they are blown into a wall.

The Dungeon Keeper Goodies Disc contains wave files of Mentor dialogue that were cut from the game, one of which mentioning a 'Hurricane' spell being available.[2] This is presumably this spell, or an early version of it.

General Information (Dungeon Keeper 2)[]

"Sends forth a spiraling wind of destruction which picks up any creatures in its path."
— Dungeon Keeper 2 Manual

Despite the difference in appearance to its Dungeon Keeper counterpart (unlike in which, the icon matches the spell's appearance), the overall effect is similar: it pushes creatures back by three tiles.[3]

Dungeon Keeper Online[]

This spell's name translates to Whirlwind, but appears to be unrelated to the Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2 spells; it attacks all around the creature and temporarily makes attacked enemies afraid.[1]
