In Dungeon Keeper 2, Wooden Bridges allow your creatures ease of passage over water or lava and are the only way (other than a Stone Bridge) that you can take over unconnected shores of the Underworld. Obviously, due to their flammable nature, Wooden Bridges have a very limited life span if placed over lava.
In some instances, if you only intend a temporary claim, Wooden Bridges can be built across lava and then sold for only a 100 gold loss, instead of the 250 gold loss of a Stone Bridge selling.
Tips[]
- Burnt bridges sell for the same amount.
- Selling even a burnt segment is more cost effective than letting it burn.
Bugs[]
- Unifying a burnt bridge with a fresh segment gets rid of the burn texturing altogether.
Trivia[]
- During development the legs/stilts of the bridge were thicker, higher, more densely set, and at a certain developmental phase the bridge had a land bridge under itself.
- As of the retail release, the only thing that can burn a Wooden Bridge, is lava. However there is photographic material of the possibility of other burn effect origins too from development times.
